Accept a quote
Who this is for: Dentists whose cases need custom pricing (e.g. complex implant cases, unusual restorations).
Time required: ~1 minute
How it works
For most cases, your price list sets the price automatically. For cases that fall outside the price list, the lab sends you a quote with itemized pricing. You can:
- Accept — case proceeds at the quoted price
- Decline — case is cancelled
- Comment — ask questions or request changes (then the lab can revise the quote)
Steps
1. Open the Quotes page
Click Quotes in the sidebar. Pending quotes appear with an orange badge.
2. Open the quote
You'll see:
- Line items + per-item prices
- Total
- Expiration date (quotes expire after 14 days by default)
- Any notes from the lab

3. Choose
- Accept quote → case moves forward to design/production
- Decline quote → case is cancelled, no charge
- Add a comment → lab gets a notification and can update the quote
What happens next
After accepting:
- Case status transitions to design (or invoicing if your billing policy is net-terms)
- For prepay/autopay accounts, a Stripe authorization is placed for the quoted amount
- The lab starts work
Troubleshooting
- "My quote expired" — open the case, leave a comment asking the lab to re-issue it. They can extend or revise.
- "I want to change one item" — comment on the quote with what you want different; the lab can issue a revised quote.
